The holiday rental cottage sleeps 4 to 5 persons, ideal for a family with 2 or 3 children.
The gite is part of a big and beautiful, authentic restored barn in the Charente. The gite has its own entrance, terrace, garden and car park. There are no connections to the main house so your privacy is guaranteed.
The property is located in the South-west of France, on the border between the Charente and Dordogne regions only 5 miles from the village of Aubeterre sur Dronne, in 2005 selected as one of the most beautiful villages in France. Aubeterre has a picturesque, protected river beach, restaurants, craftsman workshops and grocery stores.
Every effort has been made to retain the original features in this converted barn.
The kitchen is well equipped with pots, pans and all sorts of kitchen utensils to prèpare a fantastic meal from the produce you can buy in the local markets. Refrigerator with small freezer, butagaz cook top, microwave, breadgrill etc.
The dining area has a big table with 6 chairs.
Living area with sofas, TV, DVD, HiFi and wood burner.
The cottage has 2 bedrooms, the downstairs bedroom with a big double bed (160x200cm) and space enough for an extra bed and/or a baby bed. The upstairs bedroom has 2 single beds (90x190cm). The bathroom is attached to the downstairs bedroom and has a shower, sink, toilet and washing-machine.
You can dine outside, watching the sunset from the garden or lounging under a shady tree. The owners will be there to advise and help you during your stay!
Rates / Pricing
€48.- per night for 2 persons, minimum stay is 2 nights, every extra person is €12- per person per night.

You stay 1 week (7 nights) total will be € 504.-
( High season € 524.- per week no matter how many guests with a max of 5)
Cleaning is not included in the rental price and will be €35.-. there is no obligation to pay as you can decide to do the cleaning yourself.
The gastronomy of the Perigord region is world famous, from the “Foie gras” to the delicious “Confit de Canard” You can dine in many nearby restaurants specialising in local cuisine from casual to elegant. Visits to Saint Emilion or Pomerol are only 45 minutes by car, Bordeaux and Cognac 1 hour, the Atlantic coast 2hours.
Lots of thing can be done during your stay in the summer – spring or autum.
Other things to do : Wine tours to St Emilion and Bordeaux, antique shopping, crafstman and artists, the visits to prehistoric caves and much more.
